Rocket Rocker Newz for 1/6/10

Happy hump-day everyone! I hope it lives up to its name for ya! :-)Here's whats crackin' in the world of rock:

Puddle of Mudd Talks Spaceship

Altitude TV caught Wes Scantlin and Paul Phillips of Puddle of Mudd not to long ago. They talked  touring with Shinedown and Skillet, Wes's broken foot, and most importantly the new video for Spaceship!!!! *I will try to supress any fan girl screaming on air, I promise. *

Metallica's Dropping Prices!!!.....on real estate....

Kirk Hammett, Metallica's lead guitarist, put his four-story rocker mansion on the market back in March of 2007. The original asking price? Not a note lower than the fine tune of $12.5 million. *insert wolf whistle here* But apparnelty, that was just too much. Finally...he dropped the price down $8.995 million. But it still took some time, and negotiations. The estate has finally sold, but the final price has been undisclosed. Make me think he had to drop even farther for a final sale. Definately a buyers market out there!

Muse Is Kickin' Ass and Taking Names....

According to the Alternative Rock Chart from Mediabase, Muse is playing hardball in the rock world. They've been sitting at #1 for 18 consecutive weeks now. They have officially broken the record for the loongest run at No. 1 in the history of the chart, held previously by The Foo Fighters. That's not the only place they are bringing they're A-game. Muse also recently won the Best Art Vinyl for 2009 for The Resistance artwork.

Chris Cornell Is Pissed..........(what is it this time?)

Okay okay, I give it to him...he might actually have a reason to have his panties in a twist this time. Looks like a stolen video of his 2004 wedding has ended up for sale....on Craigslist. The video itself was actually be advertised as "lost" footage of Britney Murphey, who was maid of honor in the ceremony in 2004, and was found dead in her Hollywood home late last month. Blabbermouth.net has reported that the offending video has been removed, but that the Soundgarden frontman is persuing legal actioan against the vendor of the video.
