Rocket Rocker Newz for 2/9/10

Alright rockers! Hopefully we all caught The Who rockin' the Superbowl this past weekened....if you didn't, you missed a hell of a show! Here ya go with the newest happenings in the rock world!

30 Seconds to Mars Bomb Scare!

Jam! reported earlier this week that rock/alt favorites 30 Seconds to Mars called off a screening of their documentary in Los Angeles last Thurday night because of a bomb scare. At The Hive in West Hollywood a man rushed the stage and dropped a suspicious looking package at Jared Leto's feet. Footage that was posted on the interwebz show Leto grabbing the man and pulling him away from the crowd to a back room. Police were called, the building was evacuated, and the surrounding streets were also sealed off. Obvioulsy no bomb was detonated, but no other details as to what was in the "suspicious package" have been released. There are about a million jokes I could make about Leto's "suspicious package" here.....but I'll just move on:)

Megadeth Reunion...........

Megadeth founder and frontman, Dave Mustain, has announced the return of original bassist David Ellefson to the multi-platinum group. And the reunion is just in time for their Rust in Peace 20th anniversary tour, which hits El Paso March 28th at Club 101. Its been 8 years since Ellefson has been on stage with the group, but as Dave Mustain put it, "David Ellefson belongs in Megadeth. Next, we are going to show you the power of getting your asses kicked....HARD!"

My ass is ready Dave, my ass is ready....

Chroma.....The White Stripes Ballet........huh?

A ballet set to orchestrated versions of White Stripes songs is set to open in Toronto this coming Novemeber. Chroma premeired in London, England in 2006 and is the work of choreographer Wayne McGregor and composer Joby Talbot's interpretations of Jack and Meg White's songs.
