Police Brutality caught on tape...

If you have ever wondered why we, the people, are so hard on the police of the U.S.....this is a few prime examples of the bad-apple cops that make people so distrusting....

  1. So a few bad cops justify "we the people" being so hard on all cops? Like all cops behave this way? Yeah right. While I agree that cops that commit acts of brutality deserve swift and severe punishment, acts such as these are miniscule in number when compared to the total number of positive citizen / cop contacts that happen every day across this country.

For every bad cop that you see in situations like this, there are 100,000 cops out there every day risking their lives so that "we the people" can live safely in the comfort of our own homes and at the same time are trying to make a positive impact in our communities. Look up national crime statistics on violent assaults on cops, and all for doing nothing more then their jobs. The numbers of violent assaults on officers each year are staggering, believe me. Cops are beaten, stabbed, shot, run over, disfigured, paralyzed, exposed to contractable diseases, blinded, burned, etc. in mass numbers each year and all while trying to help "we the people" because it was something they took an oath on, and swore that they would help those in need. Do you think all of those NYPD officers that died on 9/11 were doing anything more than trying to help innocent civilians who they had never met before? They sacraficed their lives in an attempt to save fellow human beings and cops continue to commit heroic acts such as those on 9/11 EVERY DAY. However the media (including radio media) don't advertise the postive actions of cops, they seem to focus on the negative because that is what sells newspapers and jacks up ratings. And some cops pay the ultimate price for helping "we the people"... the cop pays with his or her own life. And all for what? So they can orphan their children and leave their husbands or wives alone to raise their children with only one or no income. I haven't heard of any radio jockey's running out into harms way and risking their own necks to save people they have never met before.

Next time you have to dial 911 because you or someone that you care about NEED a cop, think about that. And no matter how much people such as you continue to beat on cops on blogs such as this, the cops will keep coming to help you and everyone else that picks up the phone and needs help.

In closing, try not to classify all cops with the same brush stroke. It's really kind of offensive....

God Bless all our cops; federal cops, tribal cops, state cops, county cops, and local cops. I for one appreciate what all of you cops do for us.
