So...ever since I told you about the major media ban on Mudvayne's new video "Beautiful and Strange," you've been scouring the intwerwebs to check it out right? Yeah, so have I. And the only place I've been able to check it out is on a foreign site. So....I grabbed it for you to check out right here. Because honestly....whoever decided this ban, hasn't seen cable TV in the USA in a long long time. There really are worse things. And this video is an amazing peice of work that deserves mucho props!!!

Rocket Rocker Newz 3/2
They unveieled their first new album in 9 years last week in NYC at a private listening party. The so-far-untitled album is set to be released June 1st, 2010.
This is the title of the band's new compilation in honor of the Pantera's 18th Anniversary of the release of "Vulgar Display of Power" album. And from what I hear...there are some vinyl reissues in the works too....
Apparently so....the band led by former Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Zakk Wylde has officially announced that they've taken on Evenescence drummer, Will Hunt. Hunt is going to be touring with the band and recording their next studio album with them. BUT he will also remain a member of Evanescence, who got back into studio recently working on a new album themselves....
Dave Mustian, via his Live Line service- where he leave phone messages that fans can listen to, says that police were called to set of a video shoot because Megadeth were using a tank in their promo film. "We're on location making the video for Right To Go Insane. We've got an M68a tank. The cops are here - it can get pretty hairy with this video shoot."
According to HeadbangerNYC.com, A Manhattan federal judge ruled last week that Ozzy Osbourne can proceed with his lawsuit against guitarist Tony Iommi over use of the Black Sabbath name. Iommi, back in May of 2009, took sole ownership of the band's name when he filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark office. Ozzy is now suiing for 50% interest in the "Black Sabbath" trademark, along with a portion of Iommi's profits from use of the name. The judge ruled that Ozzy's "signature lead vocals" are largely responsible for the band's "extrodinary success."

"Scream With Me", the first single off the album saw great success becoming #2 on the Hot Mainstream Rock Chart. With the release of the video for "Beautiful and Strange" came the unwillingness of networks, and media sources to play the video due to its disturbing and thought provoking imagery that is meant for mature audiences. The video contains sexually explicit acts that take place in a graveyard and some scenes that involve acts of sadism that is part of a storyline that is linked to the other two videos. The exact definition of the video is left to interpretation and flows beautifully with the other two videos that complete the concept. It has been banned from every outlet except for one; the only place where this video can be seen is on the social networking site vampirefreaks.com. Mudvayne has been praised for changing the landscape of metal music through their songwriting and now they continue to broaden that landscape with their provocative new video for "Beautiful and Strange". The song is extremely dynamic and is an example of the bands technical abilities as musicians. The release of the third and final video "Heard It All Before" is set to premiere next month.

Making the Olympic Sport Cut....Is Pole Dancing Next????
Lots of people consider themselves athletes. But I NEVER in my life EVER considered pole-dancers as such. In fact, until I checked out this story on MSNBC, I always thought pole-dancers and strippers were one and the same! But I now stand corrected. In fact, Tokyo held second annual Pole Dancing Fitness Championships, with competitors twirling, grinding, and sliding in from 11 different countries!!! Now, its too late to try to get this event added to the 2012 Summer Olympic program, but pole-dancers everywhere are uniting to gain the International Olympic Committee's stamp of approval and recognition that Pole Dancing is in fact a sport.

Pearl Jam To Appear On SNL.......
Yep Yep. Saturday Night Live has scheduled the rock group to eappear on their March 13th episode. But no, it hasn't been said that they are hosting....just that they are appearing and plan to perform songs from their most recent album, Backspacer.
Slash's Talks Solo Album and Tour..........and Velvet Revolver???
Slash says the he knew he had to do a solo project when he got on stage with Fergie and performed a cover of "Sweet Child of Mine" from Guns N' Roses. "Fergie asked me to do it wither her, and she's honestly one of the only singers I would trust that song to, "Slash said. And Fergie is now one of more than a dozen singers who will be making an appearance on Slash's self-titled album, which is scheduled to drop this April.So you'd think with all the work he's obviously been putting into his new project, that the last thing he's want to do right now is fill in for Scott Weiland in Velvet Revolver. It isn't his first priority for sure, but the thought is still in the back of his mind. Velvet Revolver is still maintaining the search for a new frontman while Slash does his own thing, but hey....we just may see him singing "She Builds Quick Machines" here soon........

Well, Scott's been flapping his gums to Spinner that Stone Temple Pilots have just finished mastering their newest studio album and are even putting their own music festival together. The name of the new album? Yeah, Scott forgot to mention that part.....but it is their first since 2001!

Diamond Eyes, the newest studio alubum from the Deftones in what seems like forever. The album will be available everywhere May 18th. And Today, you can download the first single, "Rocket Skates," at deftones.com
Killswitch Engage Without Howard...........
So the rumors are flying! What the hell happened to Howard. If you didn't catch my story last week, then you need to know that Howard unexpectedly left KsE's headling tour. So, to address the rumors, the band issued this statement, "It became overwhelmingly obvious to all of us around Howard that he is in no condition to be on tour right now and that he needed to get off the road and get himself better. It's a personal matter and while we understadn everyone's curiosity and concern for Howard and the band, we appreciate everyone respecting Howard's privacy at this time." So there, eff off you nosey fans. That's what I got from it. But don't feel too hurt. Currently, Phil Labonte of All That Remains has been filling in for Howard and has been offering KsE fans a unique experice. Feel lucky Labonte listeners! Once in a lifetime!!!

Yep, our Swedish rockers are returning with its 3rd Jive album, Fever, on April 27th. The official first single? "Your Betrayal." And I'm hoping to have in spinning in your dirty eardrums by March 9th.

Avenged Sevenfold is heading back to the studio............
I want our fans to know that with Jimmy in our hearts, our journey to record has officially began. Jimmy helped leave this world an amazing gift and now it's our job to make sure to deliver that gift to our fans. We asked Jimmy's all time favorite drummer Mike Portnoy to record on behalf of him. Mike said it would be an honor and without question that?s what Jim would have wanted. Its comforting to us that someone like Mike, who is undoubtedly revered as one of the best drummers in the world, held such respect and adoration for the Rev's abilities. Even though it will never be the same without our brother by our side, his essence lives in our hearts and through the music he helped create. He was a legend before any of the success or any of that bullshit and we are fucking excited to lay this down for our fans, and especially for Jimmy.
